Special Interest Groups
The SIG Groups are leaded by Prof. Liu Zhi-Qiang with eight advisors from both School of Creative Media and Computer Science Department. There are total of six SIG Groups which are currently running, each group are leaded by one or more advisors who are a professional in their corresponding group area. More than half of the Year 2 BScCM students have participated in the SIG group's activities, and there are some Year 1 BScCM students and other SCM students participated in the SIG activities.

SIG History and Timeline
First SIG activity (23 Nov 2005)
After the SIGs were formed, BScCM faculty organized the first activity to all the BScCM students: Innovation Day: "Powering design with technology" at Hong Kong Science Park in Shatin on 23rd Nov 2005. This is the SIG first SIG activity. Almost all BScCM students have participated. This conference has invited the world known international and local speakers to review recent developments in Asia branding, industry focusetc. This activity has provided the BScCM students a good chance to open their eye to the world.
SIG Showcase: Playful Media (18-21 June 2007)
Making their debut exhibition in 18-21 June 2007, the Class One (2004) of BScCM students have present SIG: Playful Media that showcases a series of innovative applications created by the SIG groups. There were a total of eight projects has been demonstrated at the showcase, which included computer games, interactive installations to applied artworks using different digital-electronic technologies to create a world of pMeDiA in which everyone can play and have fun.
