Update the TV software
Philipsiscontinuallyimprovingitsproducts.To ensureyourTVisup-to-datewiththelatest featuresandfixes,westronglyrecommendyou updatetheTVwiththelatestsoftware.Get softwareupdatesfromyourdealerorwww.philips. com/support.

InserttheUSBflashdriveintoaUSBport onyourPC. FromyourPC,navigatetowww.philips. com/support. Findyourproductandlocatethesoftware anddriversavailableforyourTVset. Thesoftwareisavailableasazipfile. Ifthesoftwareversionishigherthanthe versiononyourTV,clickthesoftware updatelink. Acceptthelicenseagreementandsavethe ZIPfiletotheUSBflashdrive. Usingthearchiveutility,extract'autorun. upg'totherootdirectoryoftheUSBflash drive. DisconnecttheUSBflashdrivefromthe PC.
What you need
BeforeupdatingtheTVsoftware,ensureyou havethefollowing: AnemptyUSBflashdrivewith256MB of freespace.TheUSBflashdrivemustbe FATorDOS-formatted,andhaveitswrite protectiondisabled.DonotuseaUSBhard driveforthesoftwareupdate. APCwithInternetaccess. AnarchiveutilitythatsupportstheZIP fileformat(forexample,WinZipfor MicrosoftWindowsorStuffltfor Macintosh).
Step 3: Update the TV software
Warning DonotswitchofftheTVorremovetheUSB Ifapowerfailureoccursduringtheupdate,do
notremovetheUSBflashdrivefromtheTV. TheTVwillcontinuetheupdateassoonas powerisrestored. Ifanerroroccursduringtheupdate,retry theprocedure.Iftheerrorreoccurs,contact PhilipsConsumerCare. flashdriveduringthesoftwareupdate.
Step 1: Check the current TV software version
BeforeupdatingtheTVsoftware,checkthe currentsoftwareversionofyourTV.Ifthe softwareversionofyourTVisthesameasthe latestupdatefilefoundonwww.philips.com/ support,itisnotnecessarytoupdatetheTV software. Press ontheTVremotecontrol. Select[Setup] > [Software settings] > [Current software info],thenpressOK. Theversionofthecurrentsoftwareis displayed.

SwitchontheTVandconnecttheUSB flashdrivecontainingthesoftwareupdate totheUSBconnectorontheTV.
