AGAInstitute'ssuccessfulprogramatDDWwasduetoyourdedicationandtimespentdevelopingaprogramthatwas relevanttotheneedsofthemembershipandthefield.Asweplanfor2011,wewouldliketohearanyspecificfeedback youmaywishtoshare. TherewillbeanewCouncilororientationconferencecallonJune14,2010.Muchofthatdiscussionwillfocuson materialsinthisbinder.TheCouncilwillmeetnextonOctober8‐9,2010inArlington,VAattheRitz‐Carlton;thenagain fromFebruary4‐5,2011attheMarinadelReyRitz‐Carlton. ThepurposeofthishandbookistoprovideyouwithconcentratedinformationregardingCouncilresponsibilities includingdevelopmentoftheprogramforDigestiveDiseaseWeekandgeneralAGAInstituteoperations.Thehandbook iscomposedoftwoprimarysections.TabAcontainsCouncilandsectioninformationincludingtheSectiongovernance templateandbudgetexamples.ItalsocontainsadescriptionoftheroleandresponsibilitiesoftheCouncilChair,Section ChairsandVice‐Chairs. TabBdisplaysinformationessentialtoDDWprogramdevelopmentincludingatimelineanddescriptionofsessiontypes. Youwillreceiveremindersforeachparticularitemdueaccordingtothetimeline.
