Through the first 8 months of 2007, Mach Robin and Red Robin Canada are up 6.8% and 7.9% respectively, against SSS increases of 4.7 and 8.5% last year (w/o Clareview). These increases exceed our budgets and we are tracking to have another record setting year in terms of guest counts, sales and profit. Other milestones include the complete refresh on Langley, B.C. and the opening of Sparks, Nevada. Both openings were an example of how surrounding ourselves with people who share our values can be profitable, support the brand and create lots of fun. With the Parkcenter remodel complete in Idaho, we are moving forward with several refreshes in Canada. Work for Coquitlam, B.C., Whitemud in Edmonton, AB and Victoria, B.C. has been scheduled while we are trying to finalize details for new restaurants in St. George, Utah and Idaho Falls, Idaho. In keeping with growing the company with great people, I am proud to announce two new RODs for Canada. Robert Pawley and Mike Harris have gone through extensive training and are being brought into the mix. We look forward to huge gains on all fronts by combining their experience, vision and excitement for the concept. This is the time of year that potential burger champions are honing their skills and competing in local and regional contests for their chance to attend our annual conference in January. This year the regional winners and the KMs will join us in the Bahamas for the finals. I wish good skills to all those competing. Finally, thank you to all the team members….they have created a company with amazing culture that has allowed us to shine and prosper during a time when many restaurant groups are struggling.
