Southwest Today
In 1982, after 60 years in the fixture business, Kurt Heumann sold the company to Daniel W. Thor, the current President of Southwest Fixture. Soon thereafter, Mr. Thor moved the company to its current home at 1244 Round Table Dr. Although the company changed hands, Southwest Fixture continues to say: "Our fixtures don't cost, they pay!"
The Early Years
Since 1922, Southwest Fixture Company has provided quality products and dependable customer service. Founded by Kurt Heumann, who fled his native country of Germany during the war, Southwest Fixture grew from a small mannequin business to a "onestop shopping" fixture company.
The Fruits of Labor
On the desk of Heumann was a quote that read, "If I Rest, I Rust." For the next 30 years, Heumann did not rest, and the business certainly did not rust. The company moved into three different distribution centers during these years, to keep up with the
