1.5MHz, 600mA, SYNCHRONOUS BUCK CONVERTER DST6156 GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The DST6156 is a synchronous step-down DC-DC non-isolated converter.At moderate to heavy loads,the constant frequency current mode PWM architecture performs excellent stability and transient response. At light loads, a power-saving Pulse-Skipping Modulation(PSM) make the longest battery life in portable applications. While the normal PWM and PSM cannot provide regulated output voltage, the DST6156 will enter Low-Dropout mode to prolong the battery life. The 2.5V-6.0V input voltage range makes the DST6156 ideally suited for portable systems powered by 1-cellLi-lon or 3-cell NiMH/NiCd batteries and other DC powers. With an output voltage range of 0.6V to 6.0V and up to 600mAoutput current, the device is ideal to power low voltage DSP/ARM/CPLD/FPGA/MCU. The DST6156' quiescent current is typically only 25A, therefore the device achieves the highest efficiency at very light loads. Unique anti-EMI technology make the EMI be at a very low range. An advanced fast response voltage mode control scheme achieves superior line and load regulation. The internal synchronous switch increases efficiency and eliminates the need for an external Schottky diode. Another, such as soft start, over voltage protect, over temperature protect, current limit functions are also integrated. DST6156 is available in SOT23-5L package, with small PCB area occupied. DST6156' part number suffix XXX (ADJ,1P2,1P8,3P3)indicates the output voltage value.
