TheAccreditedBuyer'sRepresentative(ABR)designationisthe "benchmarkofexcellenceinbuyerrepresentation."TheReal EstateBuyer'sAgentCouncil,Inc.(REBAC)oftheNational AssociationofREALTORS awardsthiscoveteddesignationto REALTORSwhomeetthespecifiededucationalandpractical experiencecriteria.
ABRCandidacy
ThefirststepinbecominganABR designeeistobecome candidatebysuccessfullycompletingtheABR designation course.CandidatesmustmaintainmembershipintheNational AssociationofREALTORS andREBAC. Afreeone‐year membershipinREBACisincludedwithregistrationfortheABR designationcourse.Thereafter,duesare$110peryear. Candidateshavethreeyears(fromsuccessfulcompletionofthis ABR designationcourse)tofulfillthedesignationrequirements. Candidateswhodonotcompletethedesignationrequirements withinthethree‐yeartimeframemuststartover.
