Showing and hiding columns in WebCT
In the "Manage Students" screen of WebCT you can hide and show columns of data. This can be used to simplify your view, or to select the columns you want to export from WebCT. 1. From the Control Panel, click Manage Course, and then click Manage Students. The Manage Students screen appears. 2. From the Organize drop-down list, select Manage columns and click Go. The Columns screen appears. 3. Select the check box at the top to select all the columns.
4. Remove checks from the columns you want to display (and export).
5. To hide the selected columns (and show the unchecked columns): under Options, from the Hide columns drop-down list, select Yes, and then click Go. (or, to show the selected columns: Under Options, from the Hide columns drop-down list, select NO, and then click Go. )
It is possible to delete columns in the Manage Columns view, but do not delete the following: Empl_ID, User ID, First Name, Last Name, Course_ID, Lec_ID, Dis_ID, Lab_ID, Last_Update, Grade_Basis. WebCT needs this data to build the daily rosters. If they are in your way, hide them.
